I arrived at the Brook Pointe Inn for an extended family session, and was immediately surprised and delighted! "I didn't know this was here in Syracuse," I thought. The Inn had a winding driveway surrounded by a white picket fence and rolling hills of green grass. It looked as if it had climbed out of a painting and transplanted itself. The inside didn't let me down either. As I entered, I was greeted with a beautiful center staircase and quaint fire popping in the stone hearth. I knew it had great potential for our session, inside and out.
I made my way all around the Inn, up the stairs, down the corridors, and into the dining room making note of every lovely photo location. Before long the entire family had arrived and we began the session. I was first introduced to Kariann and Jason and their four lovely children, the youngest of which was barely a month old. Next, I worked with Kariann's brother, Ben, and his family who had a tiny one as well, just two months old. I had to try very hard to keep focused and not sit there and play with the babies the entire time! Finally, we combined all the families and brought Grandma and Grandpa in on the action!
My favorite moment from this session was when the kids got their chance to be silly with Grandma and Grandpa. They had all behaved perfectly the entire day, so when they got the chance to let loose at the end they went all out! All of these photos make me smile inside. I hope they do the same for you.
